NEW DELHI: Vivo is all set to launch its latest V21 series of smartphones in Malaysia. The company has scheduled a virtual launch event for April 22, where it will launch smartphones. It is also expected that the company will launch the smartphone on the same day in India as well.
Presently, the company has shared a coming soon image on Twitter and has not yet released any official launch date in India for the Vivo V21 series.
The upcoming Vivo V21 series is said to include a 4G and 5G variant of Vivo V21 and the Vivo V21 SE. Now, ahead of the official launch, the specifications of the 5G variant of Vivo V21 surfaced online. Along with the specifications, the tweet also consists of an image of the smartphone. The image shared revealed that the smartphone looks similar to the recently launched Vivo X60.
According to a tipster, the Vivo V21 5G is said to run Android 11 topped with the company’s own layer of custom UI. The smartphone is expected to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset and is said to sport a triple rear camera setup with a 64MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and 2MP macro sensor. On the front, the smartphone is said to house a 44MP selfie camera.
The leakster also revealed that the front and rear camera of the smartphone will come with optical image stabilization (OIS). The smartphone is said to come with dual SIM support and the company might also ditch the 3.5mm audio jack this time.
The same smartphone also received BIS certification recently, which hints that the handset will launch in India soon. Rumors also suggest that the company might price the smartphone under Rs 25,000 in India.
